Down a beautiful,
winding country lane in north west France lies Le Rhun, just outside the
picturesque village of Argol on the Crozon Peninsula in Brittany. Once
a thriving Breton farm and now the home of the Bunney family, Le Rhun
provides the perfect setting for five inspirational holiday gites with
a heated outdoor swimming pool set in 39 acres of beautiful rolling farmland
and countryside. Some of the land is cultivated by a local farmer so
golden fields of barley are a treat to behold in midsummer. The rustic
ambience of the farm still prevails and offers a peaceful and tranquil
setting in which to relax and unwind. |

Le Rhun’s farmhouse and former farm outbuildings have been thoughtfully
converted to provide five individual and very stylish holiday retreats.
The Farmhouse, Ecurie, Etable, Hibou and the Chestnut Loft sit in Le Rhun’s
beautiful rolling farmland and retain many original features – a delightful
combination of stone, slate and exposed beams which give the properties
tremendous charm and character. Each property has a private terrace or
garden for lazy brunches or relaxed evening barbecues.

Inside,
each property has been designed and styled with careful attention to the
buildings' former origins offering welcoming and intimate surroundings for a
special holiday. You’ll find plenty of home comforts, including washing
/drying machine, DVD, hi-fi, hair dryer, microwave, food processor and picnic
basket complete with bucket and spade.

|

The
lanes and paths leading from the main courtyard entice you to explore the
fields, meadows and woodland beyond, all rich in a huge variety of wild flowers
and wildlife. As dusk falls you are likely to encounter rabbits, foxes and deer
or the barn owl on his evening rounds.

Le Rhun is ideally situated for exploring this
spectacular corner of Brittany. Set in the heart of the Crozon
Peninsula which abounds with magnificent views, wide sandy beaches, rugged coves
and sites of historical and cultural interest including the first Christian
abbey to be founded in Brittany at Landevennec and the ancient Druid mountain
site of Menez Hom. Gastronomes are well catered for too with freshly caught
seafood in abundance and delicious sweet and savoury crepes in dedicated
restaurants and travelling vans. Beware - the region’s artisan-made cider
should be imbibed with caution!
